No it’s not

If it the above was true, Jonathan Ross’s inability to pronounce the letter “R”, or Albert Einstein’s bad hair, would be the thing that makes them what they are (or were)

You can’t reduce a person to a set of characteristics, negative or positive. To claim otherwise might sound vaguely profound in the context of a song (I was motivated to write this post by that Mendoza Line song “Catch a collapsing star” that repeats the above line over and over), but that doesn’t make it true.
